IMPHAL, June 28: The people of Tamei Sub-Division are facing untold miseries at present due to heavy landslides occurred at many places of IT road forcing the buses to stop plying on the said road for the last two days, said a release of the Tamei Sub-Division Development Vigil Forum.
This IT road is the only life line for people of the entire Tamei Sub-Division and it has been cut off by heavy landslides due to continuous rain for the last one week in the area, it said.
Further there is a high risk for the passengers to travel on the IT road as the Irang Bridge near Kotlen is in dilapidated condition which may collapse at any time, it further said.
The Tamei Sub-Division Development Vigil Forum has urged the concerned authority to kindly see the urgent basic need of the people at the earliest in public interest.
