JIRIBAM, June 3: The All Jiribam Working Journalist Union today felicitated the students of the Jiribam sub division who had topped the Class X and Class XII exams conducted by the BoSEM and the CoHSEM respectively at the auditorium hall of the Jiribam Government Higher Secondary School.
The four meritorious students were awarded with an honour certificate, shawl and cash during the programme.
Speaking at the programme, Jiribam Addl SP O Menjor Singh said that students are the future pillars of the society and further conveyed that the students should understand the importance of time and work hard without wasting time.
Students should work hard in order to become an educated person and work for the society, he added.
Deputy Inspector of Schools, ZEO, Jiribam, Ch Sunamani Singh said such felicitation programmes, recognizing the meritorious students will go a long way in producing good students in the state. He also lauded the all Jiribam Working Journalist Union for organizing such endeavours.
He further expressed his hope that the students will continue to bring laurels to the sub-division in the future too.
President, All Jiribam Working Journalist Union, Jiribam Meinam Joymangol, said the felicitation programme is being conducted as a simple encouragement for the students of the sub-division.
The felicitation programme was also attended by Pradhan, Dibong Gram Panchayat,Jiribam, Th Ibomcha Singh and other student body leaders of the sub division.
