IMPHAL, June 5: Mother of a 16 year old has today alleged that her daughter has been sexually abused by a middle aged man on May 19.
The mother called a press conference at her residence today; however asked the media persons not to disclose her identity.
The family had also lodged an FIR with the Thoubal PS after which the girl and the man was picked up from Sapermeina by the Kangpokpi PS.
She has further alleged that the man identified as Huidrom Chandro, 30 of Wangoi who is currently in judicial custody regarding the FIR had tried to illegally traffic her daughter outside the state.
Meanwhile, police source informed that the man during interrogation had disclosed that the two were in love and had eloped after personal consent of the two.
