IMPHAL, June 14: The Manipur People’s Party has submitted a memorandum yesterday to Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh on the issue of “The Appointment of Judges in the newly-established separate high court for the state of Manipur”.
The memorandum said, “The MPP wants to reiterate that the Judges of the New High Court, Manipur be filled by our own men and not by anybody from outside Manipur”.
