Ngamthang inspects new PS

IMPHAL, June 22: Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Ngamthang Haokip along with Lok Sabha MP, Dr T Meinya and Konthoujam MLA, K Sarat conducted an inspection tour of the soon to be inaugurated Police Station at Thanglangbung near New Keithelmanbi along the National Highway 37.

The police station has been constructed at the cost of Rs two crore.

Local MLA and IFC Minister, Ngamthang Haokip said the establishment of the police station will somewhat control the activities of the anti-social elements in the area.

Meanwhile, the Chingtam Development Association organized a felicitation of the three elected representatives at New Keithelmanbi Bazar.

Speaking at the felicitation, the local MLA said the Chingtam Development Association was established under his guidance in 1999.

The IFC Minister also said there had been a peaceful co-existence between the different communities of the state in the past.

He also assured a playground, a community hall and a market shed in the area.
