IMPHAL, June 4: Thoubal police commandos have arrested one self-styled corporal of the banned PREPAK (Cobra Task Force) from Hiyanglam Mayai Leikai in the district early morning Monday.
The arrested is identified as Elangbam Sukhadev alias Well alias Dev, 25, son of E Sundar of Hiyanglam Mayai Leikai. He was arrested by the commando team around 4:10 am, said a statement from the district Superintendant.
One 9 mm pistol along with two rounds was seized from him.
Sukhadev was involved in various encounters with security forces, the statement added.
