IMPHAL, June 22: The banned PREPAK (Progressive) on Friday rejected the statement of Superintendent of Police, Imphal West who claimed to have arrested a member of the outfit named Akhongbam Gopal alias Deva, 28, son of A Nandalal of Narankonjil Mamang Leikai.
An Imphal West district police commando team led by Dr Ibomcha, Deputy Superintendent of Police arrested Gopal along with a Glock 9mm pistol and its magazine from Wangoi Bazaar on June 19, according to the SP’s statement.
Claiming that Gopal has no any connection with the outfit, the PREPAK (Pro) statement said that such concocted version is nothing new to the general public.
