IMPHAL, June 4: Meira Paibis of the Lamlongei Yaipha Thouda Nupi Marup of Mantripukhri today staged a sit in protest at its locality against yesterday’s bomb blast at the residence of Manipur Development Society Managing Director, Yambem Ningthem at Mantripuri Lamlongei.
Demanding a clarification from all concerned on the grenade attack, the demonstrators also convened a meeting during the sit in protest.
The Meira Paibis also urged all concerned not to repeat such violent actions in crowded or civilian populated areas in the future.
One of the demonstrators without identifying herself said, the Meira Paibis want a clear clarification on the grenade attack and that they appeal to all not to repeat such acts in the future.
The demonstrators hold placards reading, ’Because of one person frightening the whole population’, ‘Don’t put distress to the innocent people’, ‘We condemn bomb blast in crowded area’
Meanwhile mentioned may be made that all three injured in the grenade blast including the two MR rifleman and the civilian driver have been shifted to Shija Hospitals for further treatment.
