IMPHAL, June 10: Leaders of six student organizations who have been putting pressure to the Karnataka government for handing over of the case of Richard Loitam to the CBI for the last couple of days will be arriving here tomorrow.

The student leaders are from MSF, AMSU, DESAM, KSA, SUK and SWAK.  They have been pressing the Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda to hand over the alleged murder case of Richard to the CBI for probe.

However, in a major setback to the student leaders as well as many civil bodies demanding justice for Richard, the government of Karnataka has handed over the case to CID Special Branch of that state for probe.

Richard, a second semester student of NRV College of Architecture, Bangalore, was found dead in his hostel room on April 18 after allegedly beaten up by his seniors over an IPL match.
