IMPHAL, June 13: The delay in the transfer process of Class VIII-IX and Class IX-X of the academic session 2012-13 has left many students without attending classes for a long time, said SWAK in a statement.
The first half of the year has passed, but still the registration and the transfer process is remained uncompleted. Many students under BOSEM are hoping that the board will give permission for the transfer and are still waiting to get admitted in schools, it said.
SWAK further said that according to the academic calendar 2012-13 issued by the Secretary L Rajmohon, BOSEM mentioned that the “permission of transfer from VIII to IX and IX to X is January 15” and “last date of admission on transfer from classes IX to X and X to X under unavoidable cases is April 30”. But the above mentioned notice has not been implemented till today.
If these things further continue then it may lead to the same incident which occurred last year when around 7000 students missed the HSLC examination, it added.
SWAK also urged BOSEM to complete the transfer process and provide the registration number in the earliest possible.
