IMPHAL, June 7: The Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association observed World Environment Day on June 5 at the Manipur Mountaineering Institute Complex Lamdan.
Loitongbam Tilotama, vice-chairman, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs Govt. of India, Th. Ibobi, IFS, project director, LDA, L. Bhagaton Singh, superintending engineer, LDA, attended the function as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
As a part of this observation, Nature Photography campaigned was held by the LDA and a children spot painting competition was also organized at Manipur Mountaineering Institute Complex. All dignitaries planted fruit bearing trees at MMI Complex so that birds can come to this park.
