IMPHAL, July 4: The Adhoc Committee of Direct Post Creation, (DPC) Successful candidates of primary teachers Hindi Primary Teacher and Hindi Graduate Teachers of 2006 organized a sit in protest today at Singjamei Chinga Makhong parking against the non-payment of their salaries.
More than 300 adhoc teachers began their sit in protest at 10am under the banner, “We Strongly Demand Immediate Release of Due Salary for Seven Months”.
Later at around 12:35pm, a police team dispersed the teachers however the seemingly desperate teachers gathered again at the Leimayol Arts Centre, Chingamakha, Imphal and continued with their agitation. The agitation ended with a meeting at 3pm.
