IMPHAL, July 20: The condolence meeting of the Senior Citizens for Society, Manipur held on Thursday at its office at Nagamapal RIMS Road corner, Imphal with N Benoy Singh, president, in the chair, expressed its deep sense of shock and sorrow at the sad demise of W Nipamacha Singh, former chief minister of the state on July 17 after a brief illness, said a release of the society.
“He was a free, frank and honest political leader with a difference, a good human being, a proactive Senior Citizen, who wanted to do something good for the society even after his retirement from State Politics by establishing a chapter of the Senior Citizens for Society, Manipur for Wangoi area,” it said.
A two minutes silence was observed to condole his sad demise and pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul, it added.
