IMPHAL, July 26: The dead body of KCP (Sunil Meitei) cadre Thongam Bobby who was gunned down by Imphal West Police Commandos last night at Taobungkhok has been handed over to his family members after conducting postmortem at RIMS today.
The deceased Thongam Bobby is a permanent resident of Singjamei Thongam Leikai and presently staying at Koirengei Bazar.
According to his father, Bobby joined the outfit KYKL in 2000 and held the post of district commander. He became a follower at the dog squad of 2nd Manipur Rifles after surrendering to the state government. Later, he began to have links with KCP.
Bobby is married and has two children- a daughter and a son. He went out from his home on a Honda Activa at around 6 am yesterday.
Meanwhile, the experts of State Forensic Science Laboratory closely examined the dead body before the postmortem.
