IMPHAL, July 28: A government statement has notified that the general election to Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayats in the four valley districts of the state will be held on September 13.
The general elections to Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Bishnupur Zilla Parishad and all the Gram Panchayats comprised therein shall be held on September 13. The last date of filing of nomination is August 3 with September 4 as the date of scrutiny and September 7 as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures.
In case of re-poll, it would be held on September 15 and counting of votes would be carried out on September 17 and the date of completion of elections is September 22.
