IMPHAL, July 5: Some unidentified persons lobbed a Chinese made hand grenade at the premises of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute at around 9 am today.
According to police, the grenade was hurled from the main road and fell unexploded near the canteen. The grenade was later detonated at Lamphel area.
The attack could be related to a monetary demand made by some underground organization to the hospital authorities, informed a reliable source.
