IMPHAL, July 20: “Heart to Heart” project of Rotary Club of Imphal in association with Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal invites applications for children from the age group of seven months to 18 years from economically weak families (with BPL cards) to undergo open heart surgery, at free of cost, under the Rotary’s Gift of Life programme at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.
So far, Heart to Heart and Gift of Life have provided free open heart surgery to 82 children from Manipur. Rotary Blood Bank, New Delhi is providing the requisite blood. Accommodation, meals and transportation at Delhi are provided by ManavAshray, Delhi.
