IMPHAL, July 12: The Demand Committee for Implementation of Inner Line Permit System, Lilong staged a sit-in-protest and organized an awareness programme on Inner Line Permit System at Lilong Bazar today. Locals and students of Lilong area joined the protest demanding implementation of ILP System to check rapid influx of migrants, stated a release.
Meanwhile, Kangleipak Loinasillon Apunba Marup (KLAM), in a release, has expressed the need for the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state not only to check rapid influx of migrants but to safeguard and promote the language and script of the Manipuris.
