Indo-Myanmar border officers` meet

IMPHAL, July 7: A meeting of Indo-Myanmar border level officers will be held on July 11 at Tamu in Myanmar.

According to sources, the border officers’ meet is being held every three months in Myanmar and India. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in India.

The upcoming meeting at Tamu will be organized by Imphal Regional Unit of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) which is the under the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Indian delegates are also being sponsored by the NCB Regional Unit.

The superintendent and investigation officers of NCB, officials of Narcotics and Border Affairs, superintendent of customs, SDPO Moreh, Assam Rifles and officials of Revenue Intelligence will take part in the said meeting.

The Indian delegates will table 34 cases related to illegal trafficking of drugs, heroin, ganja, opium and other banned products along Indo-Myanmar border.
