IMPHAL, July 16: IYA, Kakching is leading the Kishorekumar Memorial 1st Division League Football tournament, 2012 with 9 points after today’s play.
In today’s match the table toppers registered a 2-1 win against FSC, Kakching.
Ngamcha netted the first goal of the match for FSC in the 20th minute of play; however their lead was soon equalized in the 43rd minute by Arun Kumar.
Anil scored the second for IYA in the 82nd minute.
Arun Kumar’s celebratory dance however turned costly as the referee awarded him with a yellow card for taking off his shirt after his goal.
Suresh of IYA was also awarded a yellow card in the 20th minute.
Meanwhile, Stone of FSC was sent off for handing the ball inside the penalty box in the 15th minute.
In another match of the day, AVO, Kakching defeated SESU, Kakching by 3-0.
Indranath scored all the three goals helping AVO to an easy win.
