IMPHAL, July 24: Deputy Director of the state Agriculture Department is currently fighting a case charged against him for his being wrongly appointed at the department. The Communist party is not surprised that the advocate appearing on his behalf, charge at least 15 lac per appearance.

It can be questioned that as far as his salary goes,he cannot have the ability to hire such a costly representative and the charges of corruption is justified.

It was learnt that the number of schemes, i.e 33 numbers are not implemented at all, and Pheroijam Rajendro is presently  challenging  the charges at the Supreme Court as the state judiciary has passed an order which is not in his interest. Integrated Pest Management, Integrated Nutrient Management, Integrated program for seeds and pulses, Rastra Kisi Bikas Yojana are implementations under the scheme are controlled by him.

The outfit in a press release by Nonglen Meitei, Publicity secretary of the Maoist Communist Party mentions that a sum of Rs 140 crore has been embezzled under the IPM and INM by the said deputy director.

Whereas, the media team is whisked in whatever direction the official wants,, and it will not forget that media teams have been given ‘envelopes’ for coverage of the news, it was charged. The new residence of Rajendro presently under construction with investment in crores at Porompat is evident that he has been siphoning funds from developmental projects for his benefit.

The farmers which constitute at least seventy five percent of the total population have been sidelined and the interest of the officer comes first. Appealing the public to fight against the injustice meted out and further to aid the public, the outfit will release fact reports of the 33 schemes and the way it has been siphoned before June 28, it said.
