North East Council officials to visit Manipur state

IMPHAL, July 18: A team of the North East Council officials will be visiting the state on July 19 and 20 to inspect several projects undertaken in thekstate, Manipur.

According to a source, the team comprising of Advisor, Health DL Wankhar and Director (S & ST) Dr S Chaudhari of the NEC will be reaching the Imphal Airport on July 19 at 11:50 am and leave for national capital the next day.

It is also learnt that the team during their stay will inspect JN Hospital and construction of ISBT on the first day and consider support.

On the second day of their visit, the team will inspect the establishment of blood bank by Shija Health Care and Research Institute, Langol; upgradation of Hotel Imphal and income generation of rural poor women through handloom development programme by M/s Sega Road Maning Takhel, Imphal West, the source informed.

During the inspection visit, the NEC officials will be briefed by state concerned officials along with updated records and documents relating to the projects.
