IMPHAL, July 16: National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) has opened a unit yesterday for the adjoining areas of Saikul Block and Imphal East and named it as NIPCO Awang Nongpok Chingtam Unit. The presidium members of the opening function include Risikanta Yumnam, advisor of NIPCO, Livon Khupler Kom and R Rungsoi Koireng, Chairmans, Village Authority. The function was attended by peoples of 15 Khul of the area.
Jangkholet Thouthang, R Rangsiek, Kh Jiten and SR Sukhup Koireng were elected as president, secretary general, finance secretary and IPR respectively to the newly opened unit.
