LAMKA, July 2: The district of Churachandpur have been doing well in terms of procurement of rice under the PDS from godowns either located at Dimapur or Sangaiprou and then distributed to the concern beneficiaries through nominees of the MLA`s at the district level without any lapse, said a source.
The source close to the MLA`s nominees and officials concern has stated that in other districts of the state failure to distribution of PDS items on time particularly rice are not uncommon and at the least they are distributed after a lapse of 4/5 months’ time.
This has not been the case here in CCpur and BPL and IAY rice distributed at the right time and places after they were delivered to the correct destination by the contractor Rajen by name said the sources.
There was lapse in the distribution only in May last year and that was caused by an economic blockade, the source added.
As the DC, DSO and the contractor concern made the items reach on time each and every benefactor are glad and wanted this service has continued unabatedly
Today all the dealers have again started giving out to the publics who residing under the six sub-divisions.
