IMPHAL, July 28: In continuation of the revenue drive launched by State Electricity Department against power defaulters in the state has further collected a total revenue of Rs 1,25,45,525 from unauthorized consumers on July 26-27 from different areas.
The areas covered during the drives include Thangmeiband Khondram Selungba, Polem Leikai; Court, Old Checkon, Sawombung Thongkhong, Yourabung; Wangkhem, Lamding Khumanthem; Thanga Salam, Kumbi Road; and Keirak Makha.
The cumulative achievement as on July 27, a total of 1995 defaulters was disconnected and a total of 387 unauthorised consumers were booked by the electricity department.
The mass revenue drive during night drive with effect from June 22 has booked a total of 50 un-authorized consumers as on July 27.
The areas covered during night drive include, Haobam Marak, Kwakeithel, Mongsangei, Keishamthong, Palace compound, New Checkon, Dimdailong, Kakching Panji Leikai, Golapati, and Ningthemcha Karong.
