IMPHAL, Aug 23: A meeting of the representatives from the Manipuri Diaspora in Bengaluru, which included office bearers of Manipuri Meitei Association Bangalore, Kuki Students organisation, Zoumi Youth ganisation, senior officers working in the IT industry, retired Army officers, and a few people who have taken up residence in Bangalore was held today at Bangalore.
The meeting was presided by CK Jaffer Sharif, former Union Minister for the Railways and Dr Kh Ratankumar, Manipur Works Minister and special emissary from the Government of Manipur. During the meeting, all appreciated the measures and efforts taken by the Government of Karnataka.
It may be recalled here that, Karnataka Home MInister R Ashok had agreed to visit Manipur and NE states folloeing invitation of the Manipur minister Dr Ratankumar.
