IMPHAL, August 21: The dead body of Md Sarif Ahmed who was thrown out of a special train coming from Bangalore to Guwahati was today brought back to the state and buried today after the JAC formed against the killing of the Cotton College student and government brought an understanding.
It may be mentioned that Md Sarif Ahmed was killed after being thrown off a running train at New Jalpaiguri on August 18.
A source has informed that the government has confirm to build a library in the name of the dead student and to pay Rs 2 lakh to the bereave family as ex-gratia.
Meanwhile, the JAC had demanded that the state government should investigate the incident or hand over the same to the CBI, to provide a job which is not less than MCS/MPS to the family, payment of Rs 10 lakh as ex gratia, provision of security to the students studying at Bangalore and other cities.
