IMPHAL, August 4: UPAA, Kyamgei is leading the points table of the Imphal East 1st Division Football League Tournament, 2012 with nine points after three matches.
UPAA has won all its three matches.
In the first match of the third round played at the Khuman Lampak, Football practice ground today, UPAA defeated PYA, Kairang with a convincing 4-1 scoreline.
Adim Palmei of UPAA scored two goals just after the start of play at the 3rd and the 8th minutes.
PYA rebounded with a goal in the 12th minute scored by Manir Khan.
However, after that Pradeepkumar of UPAA scored in the 25th minute to take the scoreline to 3-1 in favour of his team.
In the second half, Asingmei Gangmei added another for UPAA in the 52nd minute.
A Anand of UPAA and Aulad of PYA were shown the red card for unruly conduct simultaneously in the 73rd minute. Altogether six red cards have been shown in 11 matches of the ongoing tournament.
PYA scorer Manir Khan was showed the yellow card in the 31st minute while S Hemba of UPAA was cautioned in the 43rd minute.
In the second match of the day, RAU, Lairikyengbam Leikai routed TYWO, Takhel by 7-1.
With today’s win RAU has 3 points in its name after three matches, while TYWO has just one point.
Deban of RAU scored a hattrick with the first two coming in the span of 30 seconds during the first half injury time.
He added another in the second half in the 47th minute.
Bikash of RAU scored a brace one each in both halves of the match in the 5th and 70th minutes, while Athouba (30th) and Thangcha (57th) added one each for the club.
TYWO’s lone goal was scored in the 75th minute by Sanajaoba.
