IMPHAL, Aug 5: As per the directive of the Supreme Court of India to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Manipur Police have begun the drive to remove tinted glasses from four-wheeler vehicles in Imphal East and Imphal West.
The drive was conducted by the personnel of Traffic Police. The defaulters were made to pay fines for using tinted glasses.
Use of tinted glasses in four-wheeler vehicles is prohibited under Article 109 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Rule No. 100 (2) of Central Vehicles Rule, 1989.
