EECHAL observes foundation day at Manipur Press Club

IMPHAL, August 1: Ereipak Enaat Chanura Loinsinlon (EECHAL) observed its 7th foundation day at Manipur Press Club today.

The function was attended by Dr KeisamSobita Devi, director, Arts & Culture department, Government of Manipur,  TongbramIbemchaLeima, president of EECHAL, PhanjoubamSakhiLeima, president of AMKIL, Thokchom Ramani, secretary general of NUPISAMAJ and SoibamMomonLeima, president of All Manipur TammiChingmiApunbaNupiLup as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

Speaking at the function Dr KeisamSobita Devi said that women’s political involvement can be seen in the state from a very early period of time. Even if they were busy with other responsibilities of looking after their families or other trades, they have always taken great role in the political life of the state.

So, it is important to re-think the roles women have taken in the society for the betterment of the state.

We are also planning to organize a workshop with the consultation of EECHAL for the development of women in the state, she further said.

Let’s work together to maintain the moral values of women in our society, she appeals.
