IMPHAL, August 20: A statement issued by head of KCP-M2, Ibungo Ngangom has denied the claim made by Lalheinba of URF, during a press conference on August 18 that KCP-M2 would also be joining the peace process with Government of India.
“During a press conference on 18th August 2012, Lalheiba of URF claimed that KCP-M2, which is led by me, would also be joining him in the peace process with the Government of India. However, I completely deny the claim, which was nothing more than an effort on his part to tarnish the public image of my group, which has no plans to enter into any sorts of peace process with the Colonial Government of India,” it stated.
“In conclusion, I would like to declare that KCP-M2 remains committed to reclaiming the robbed sovereignty of Manipur, whatever it takes,” it further stated.
