KSO urges state government

IMPHAL, August 18: The Kuki Students Organization has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister of the state for endorsing its appeal of enhancing the reward package it announced for Mary Kom on her triumphant return from the London Olympic.

Regarding the attacks on the North East Students in metro cities in Southern States, the KSO General Headquarters has strongly urged the state government to take up the issue with the central government.

The KSO appealed the people of Northeast to maintain peace and to restrain from any retaliation which could set off a chain reaction of mass carnage. Further it has also appealed the North East Students Union (NESU) and its constituent member organizations to open a temporary transit relief camp at Guwahati and in other convenient places.

Meanwhile, the KSO General Headquarters has also conveyed its deep condolence to the family of Chungthuigaikamei, general secretary of Zeliangrong Students Union Manipur (ZSUM).
