IMPHAL, August 16: A 23-year-old Jawan of the 10th Dogra Regiment at Tamei HQ of Tamenglong District who was posted at the gate for sentry duty was killed when he was struck by lightning and felt from the sentry post on August 14 at around 11:15 pm.
The decease person is identified as Karnail Singh, 23, son of Sh Balwinder Singh of Satwan village of Mukerian district in Punjab. After conducting a post mortem at RIMS, his death body was sent home.
