Manipur, IMPHAL, Aug 22: In a final judgement regarding the controversial results of the MBBS/BDS entrance examination, the Gauhati High Court has ruled that the June 23 revised Select List of MBBS/BDS would be final.
The case had come up after the government issued three different select lists of the entrance examinations held this year, besides errors in the Physics question and grace mark of 4 each given to the candidates who appeared in the examination.
In a ruling given by a Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice AK Goel and Justice SR Bhuyan it said, the third list (revised) issued by the government on June 23 shall be put into effect.
It may be recalled here that the government had issued three select lists on June 11, June 22 and June 23 respectively and the last of which was challenged by 6 candidates who had appeared in the entrance test.
The petition was admitted and the execution of the June 23 list was stayed by a single bench of Justice Tayenjam Nandakumar Singh at Imphal.
The government went on and challenged the ruling of the single bench at the principal seat of Guwahati in an appeal and an interim order had quashed the stay order while making the June 23 list official.
