Mass revenue drive collects Rs 11.45 crores

IMPHAL, August 19: The mass revenue drive conducted by the state electricity department which began on June 22 has collected rupees eleven crore forty four lakh one thousand seven hundred twenty four as on August 16.

The total number of disconnection of consumers is 2566 and the total number of un-authorized consumer booked during the drive is 623.

The mass revenue drive during night time with effect from June 22 has booked 59 unauthorized consumers.

The areas covered during the night mass revenue drive are Haobam Marak, Kwakeithel, Mongsangei, Keishamthong, Palace compound, New Checkon, Dimdailong, Kakching Panji Leikai, Heirangoithong, Pishum, Konjeng Leikai, Golapati, NingthemchaKarong and Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai. 

The mass revenue drive 2010-11 w.e.f January 22 to March 31, 2011 collected Rs 17.60 crores, number of disconnection is 16885, unauthorized consumers booked is 422, number of FIR cases is 121 and number of charge sheeted cases is 57.

The mass revenue drive 2011-12 w.e.f January 31 to March 31, 2012 collected Rs 11.50 crores, number of disconnection is 7070, unauthorized consumers booked is 152, number of FIR cases is 84 and number of charge sheeted cases is 36.

The mass revenue drive 2012-13 w.e.f June 22 to August 16 collected Rs 11.45 crores, number of disconnection is 2566, unauthorised consumers booked is 623, number of FIR cases is 402, number of charge sheeted cases is 357, number of bail out is 357 and the number of accused sent to jail is 45.
