IMPHAL, Aug 23: Women and Child Development Society Meira Paibi president Avei Haokip today condemned the act of vandalising of a memorial complex by taking out the Memorial stone of (L) Lalkho Gangte and (L) Thanghoneng Gangte from Old Lambulane by one Thanglenlal Gangte, 35 son of former Higher Education Director (L) TS Gangte.
Avei Haokip alleged that Thanglenlal Gangte had vandalised his own grandparents after vandalising the burial site and taking the memorial stones with him, which is against the Kuki custom. He has been found missing since this early morning.
The meira paibi president was also accompanied by several locals and family members, Sutsuong Insung Committee and the Old Lambulane Committee.
