MOREH, August 20: Residents of border town Moreh have today appealed to the concerned authorities to replace the 400 Kv transformer which have been damaged due to overload recently.
Residents have also complained that if the concerned authorities had timely checked the transformer it would not have been damaged.
The residents have charged that the transformer was overloaded due to which it had collapsed.
They have also lamented that there are several houses with illegal connection, however when they had gone to the concern office to complain about the power theft, they have found no one inside the office except for a lineman and a chowkidar.
They have also alleged that the Moreh Power house has no SO even though the station is run under an AE. The absence of a SO has created many problems for the people, they have complained.
