IMPHAL, August 22: Discovering the transportation of banned drugs from Moreh to Myanmar, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) launched operation in Moreh Ward No 7 and apprehended a Myanmarese drug peddler on August 21, said a PRO release.
The apprehended person has been identified as Kujai, s/o Ohi of Burma Mandi (Myanmar). 72.5 kgs of banned Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride tablets were recovered from him. The apprehended person along with the recovered drugs was handed over to Narcotic Control Bureau, Imphal, it further said.
