IMPHAL, Aug 22: A dead non-Manipuri youth was fished out from the Imphal river today at 3.30 pm at Sekmaijin Thongkhong under the jurisdiction of Kakching police station, according to police.
The youth identified as Dasarath Ram, aged 24, son of Narendra Ram originally hailing from Muzzfarpur (Bihar) went missing on August 19 at 1.20 pm as he was taking bath in the Imphal river near Khurai Telipati, according to a missing report filed by his parents at the Porompat police station.
The body of the missing youth was today found in a highly decomposed state and it has been handed over to Porompat police.
