IMPHAL, Aug 24: Timely intervention of the Fire Brigade saved a pharmacy in Lilong Bazar (Warris Medicos) from complete devastation.
The owner of the pharmacy Md Abdul Khalique @ Abothem (aged 42) said, the fire started in the backroom of his pharmacy which tried to engulf the pharmacy and nearby shop but for the timely arrival of fire brigades from both Thoubal and Imphal.
However two beds, a bag of rice, three water containers, three utensils and a plastic bucket were either reduced to ashes or rendered useless.
