IMPHAL, August 9: Sogolband MLA, RK Imo today distributed pensions to beneficiaries of the constituency at the Sagolband Bijoy Govinda community hall.
The pension schemes as Indira Gandhi Old Age Pension, Manipur Old Age Pension, Indira Gandhi Widow Pension and the Indira Gandhi Handicapped pension.
The pension distribution function was also attended by DSO, Imphal West K Ahaljao and officials of SBI and Vijaya Bank.
The local MLA said from the next time, the pensions will be credited automatically into their bank accounts. He further urged the pensioners not to hand over their respective pension books to anyone.
Meanwhile, he also expressed his displeasure over certain pensioners who were unable to produce their pension books.
