IMPHAL, August 21: The Rongmei Council (AMN) has strongly condemned the barbaric action of senseless killing of innocent people and student leader, Chungthuigay Kamei and fratricide factional killing of JianaoRajpeyu on August 17 at Luangkau (Nungkao) and Lantaanlung of Phaaluang village at Tausaeng village of Tamenglong district by unidentified outfits in violation of people’s initiative for peace, tranquillity and unity among the people, said a release of Rongmei Council (AMN).
The Rongmei Council (AMN) has appealed to all armed outfits to stop forthwith all types of senseless killing, fratricide, factional fighting, retaliation etc and to stop all sorts of violence and bloodsheds among ourselves.
“We appeal to all armed groups to come forward and join hands with each other in love so that together we build peace, tranquillity and unity among us and to usher in a new era with a new social order in our land.”
Further, the Rongmei Council has conveyed its condolence to the family members of Chungthuigai Kamei, Jianao and Lantaanlung.
