IMPHAL, August 5: Wungsingsho’s 69th minute goal helps SSC, Porompat to a 2-1 win against YDC, Awang Potshangbam at the Imphal East 1st Division Football League tournament, 2012 at the Khuman Lampak, Football practice ground today.
SSC with today’s win has opened its points tally and has three points after one win and two lost.
YDC has four points from a one win, a draw and a loss.
The first goal of the match was scored by Naocha for YDC in the 9th minute of play, which was equalised just three minutes before the end of the first half by Zingshopam Lunglen in the 37th minute.
The winning goal was scored in the 69th minute in the second half by Wungsingsho of SSC.
Meanwhile, the first ground match of the day between DOAK, Yairipok and UPSA, Pukhao ended a goalless draw.
UPSA had several chances to lead the match, however failed to convert any of their chances ending the match in a draw.
K Kaljit Singh of DOAK was cautioned in the 31st minute while Ng Leikoiba of UPSA and Ch Tamba Meitei of DOAK were cautioned in the 38th minute for unruly manners.
DOAK has only one point, while UPSA has four points from three matches.
NESU, Porompat will meet Citizen’s Club, Soibam Leikai while UPAA, Kyamgei will meet RAU, Lairikyengbam Leikai tomorrow.
