IMPHAL, August 18: The Protection and Preservation Committee Manipur has questioned the damage caused to oil tankers at Senapati recently and the lack of adequate security on the Dimapur highway.
Speaking at a press conference Convenor E Chanu Thamphatombi condemned the stone pelting on oil tankers by strikers.
Reacting to the frequent scarcity of fuel in the city Tamphatombi questioned as to why the petrol pumps are closed despite sufficient stock.
With regard to Northeast students and professionals fleeing the cities for home the organization appealed to UNC to consider its bandh.
