IMPHAL, August 21: CDO of Imphal West District on Monday arrested two cadres of UPPK during a search operation at Singjamei area and recovered a huge amount of arms and ammunition from their possession.
According to a release of SP Imphal West, the two arrested persons are identified as KeishamHemanta alias Muthi alias Henju, 27, s/o of (K) Manglem of IngourokMakha Leikai and Angom (N) Keisham (O) Abe alias ThajoChanu, 30, wife of K Hemantaof IngourokMakha Leikai.
One lathod gun with four shells, one 9mm pistol with ten live rounds, one Chinese grenade with detonator, one AK Rifle with 35 ammunitions and nine numbers of extortion demand letter of UPPK were recovered from the arrested persons, it further said.
