IMPHAL, Aug 31: Troops of 24 Assam Rilfes of 26 sector under HQ IGAR (South) arrested a UPPK cadre today from a place in Tengnoupal of Chandel district.
In a statement issued to the press, the arrested cadre has been identified as s/s Private Boy Tongbram, alias Malenganba, 25 years, son of Labuengo, a resident of Lalambung Lamphel.
A 9 mm pistol along with 5 live rounds and magazine were recovered from the arrested cadre, the statement said and added, the arrested was later handed over to Kakching Police Station.
