IMPHAL, Aug 16:Assam police have arrested a leader of the United Peoples’ Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) from Guwahati last night at around 11 pm, according to reliable sources.
The alleged UPPK leader Homeshwor alias Chingkhei, aged 55 of Konthoujam, Imphal West is the self styled Organization Secretary of the group, the report adds.
It may be recalled here that the UPPK leader Shanti alias Chinglemba was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border a few months back.
