IMPHAL, August 21: Women folk numbering around 50 stormed at the Jiribam Police State after a person who was arrested by 22 Assam Rifles from Kasar District in Assam as a PLA cadre was handed over to Jiribam Police Station.
The arrested person is identified as Adhikarimayum Rajeshwor Sharma alias David, 24, son of Rajmani of Lakhinagar in Kasar District of Assam. He only reached home yesterday morning around 9am after fleeing from Bangalore due to the present situation of Bangalore.
According to source, the womenfolk claimed that he works as a security guard at a private company at Bangalore.
He is going to get married in the coming month of March, the source informed.
He was arrested from his residence last night and handed over to the Jiribam Police Station by 22 Assam Rifles, the source claimed.
According to a report provided by the 22 Assam Rifles to Jiribam Police Station, Rajeshwor is a PLA cadre and he was arrested by the 22 AR from Jiribam Hill Ghat Khunou. One 9mm pistol with five live rounds were recovered from him, the source added.
