IMPHAL, August 6: YPHU, Lalambung registered a convincing win against NACO, Nambul Mapal to take its point to four after two matches of the ongoing Imphal West Super division football league tournament at the THAU ground today.
The first half of the only match of the day ended goalless, though the YPHU controlled the game throughout the first half. In the second half of the match, a rejuvenated YPHU not only controlled the game but also hit the nets twice in the 52nd minute and in the 69th minute.
The first goal for the winning team was scored by Th Srivash while the second was scored by Robinson.
Two players from both teams were also booked for rough play during the match.
The booked YPHU players are Ksh Devakumar (12th) and K Krishnadas (58th), while those of NACO are Ng Rabi (25th) and Kh Naoba (76th).
With today’s defeat NACO has just one point from its match which had ended in a goalless draw against THAU.
