In Assam, over all flood situation remains grim as the Brahmaputra and some of its tributaries continue to flow above danger level at some areas. Around 21 lakh people of 16 districts have been affected following flash flood. In Morigaon district, flood water submerged 58 thousand hectare of crop land.
Flood water also submerged parts of Goalpara district. Army and National Disaster Response Force are undertaking relief and rescue works in some districts. District administration provided relief materials to the affected people. However, the ferry service between Neamatighat to Majuli has been restored. The ferry services also resumed between Dhola to Sadiya in Tinsukia district.
